Nissaki is on the north-east coast of Corfu, 14 miles north of the capital, Corfu Town and the airport, with views across the sea to Albania and across the bay to enticing Corfu Town (Kerkyra).
Nissaki appeals to those looking for a small and relatively quiet resort in a beautiful setting; It is set on the steep pine and olive grove-covered foothills of Corfu's highest peak, Mount Pantokrator.
Nissaki resort is protected from the noise and bustle of some of its famously lively and more downmarket neighbours. Nissaki is favourite with couples and families looking for an attractive, traditional small resort in which to relax; a place where not everything is given over to tourism.
The area has a few tavernas and local shops and the nightlife is very modest in comparison with its neighbour Barbati, and a world away from the full-on partying youth resort of Ipsos just a few miles down the coast.
Nissaki beach, or rather beaches, are small coves of sparkling white shingle, excellent for scuba-diving, with clean clear water ideal for swimmers. A favourite beach is at Skinos, several hundred metres further along the coast.
